Vault does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. It has no servers, no accounts, no analytics and no tracking. The developer never receives anything you save.
Everything you save stays in your browser, on your device: video links and previous links, titles, thumbnail links, thumbnail images you upload yourself, tags, cast names and aliases, ratings, notes, lengths, favorite moments, your settings, and — if you set a PIN — a scrambled (salted and hashed) version of it, never the PIN itself.
Vault never sends your data anywhere. It only loads things from the websites your saved videos come from:
These requests go directly from your browser to those websites, like visiting them yourself. Vault adds nothing about you to them.
Backups are files you create and keep. If you share one using your computer's Share menu (for example by email), it goes wherever you send it. You can protect backups with a password; Vault then encrypts the file on your device and never stores or sends the password.
